DROPPING THE MASK

Who would have thought when I started Songcrafting with Melbourne’s Clare Dea last year that we’d end up writing a musical together? Yet that’s exactly what happened!

Launching on the 11th of May at Second Story Studios in Collingwood, the opening night has nearly sold out already! With a 5-night run, a 3-piece band and 8 original songs, this thing is buzzing with vibrant energy.

Clare’s unique passions include acting, singing and transformation, so it’s no surprise that we’ve managed to bring it them together in this creation. It’s been a pleasure working with her and I’m so thrilled at the response to this musical already.

I still remember when I first met Clare: she taught us one of her favourite mantras: “All of you, all of me, flying free.” Now, that mantra is one of the catchiest melodies in the show, and its powerful message will no doubt leave the audience feeling inspired and empowered – as she set out to do.
