STILL I WANT YOU

Recorded on an April day in 2018, this intimate 4-track EP embodies a soulful, reflective side of my songwriting. Tell a story of love, longing and the surrender to possibility, these songs are all connected to real romance, written in the bloom of Melbourne springtime and the subsequent peace of falling leaves in autumn.

The title track is an ode of yearning, written quickly, a romantic chord progression billowing to flame the obsession of frustrated romance. “What does it take - to make an escape?

TIME TICKS A WAY

In 2010, a very special set of people came together to produce an EP which is a time capsule and a living memory of my musical coming-of-age. Featuring the likes of James Fahy, Meg O'Connell, Bec 'Bec' Taylor, Josef Salvat, Hannah Beasley and Gemma Nourse, this record could never be replaced.

The ballad 'Hush Penelope' has been sung to infants as they are rocked to sleep, and is to this day my most requested tear-jerking song. 'Story of You' documents my first ever encounter with big love, and 'The Man Who Saved the World' still makes me wonder...

THE PLASTIC WRAP

Why is everything wrapped in plastic?
Do you stop and think or is it just a habit?

Due to the profligate use of fossil fuels the Earth is warming at an alarming rate, destabilising the climate and devastating every ecosystem.

Plastic waste is one of the biggest culprits. Treated as a disposable material, it pollutes our lands and seas and generates large amounts of toxic Co2 emissions, which can take between 20 - 1000 years to break down. That's while they smuggle their way across every part of Earth, from our rivers to Antarctica, from the diets of marine life - to our bodies.

DEMOS AND BACK CATALOGUE:

For 10 years I've been posting tracks and demos on Soundcloud. There are around 50 tracks I've slaved to write and record up here, that despite all that work will never make it onto an album (at least not in their current form!).

I invite you to put it on in the background and go on a journey... of my imagination!
